Job Description

The Manager, International Marketing coordinates the holistic Marketing strategy between Sbarro and each of its International Markets.  Additional responsibilities include being the key Marketing liaison between Sbarro and its larger International Franchisee Marketing Departments.  Reporting to the SVP International, the Manager, International Marketing is expected to optimize marketing tactics across all channels, crafting and executing menu, pricing, and promotional messaging and communication plans to drive sales and profits, consumer engagement, and brand affinity.

 

Job Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Assists the International Field Consultants in defining the marketing strategy for Sbarro’s International Markets.
  2. Creates an annual International Marketing calendar based on the overall company strategy, while incorporating country specifics.  Oversees execution of the tactical Market plans which are aligned and geared towards maximizing effectiveness in growing Sales.
  3. Leverages Sbarro Corporate’s holistic menu and pricing strategy to identify growth opportunities within the International Markets.
  4. Works collaboratively with Sbarro’s Culinary, Supply Chain and Training teams in the development and optimization of our menu offerings.
  5. Defines the Digital marketing road map and key success criteria and measurement plan, inclusive of Web-site SEO, paid/earned media, E-mail, CRM and loyalty, Social channels and online / mobile ordering platforms. 
  6. Assists key countries with their agency partnerships, contracts and media mix plans that balances cost efficiencies with effectiveness and impact.
  7. Spearheads communication with the International Franchise Owners and Operators, and other constituents on all marketing-related executional matters. 
  8. Travels as necessary to International key markets.   
  9. Additional duties as assigned.

Skills and Knowledge

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute holistic marketing plans/strategies.  Expertise in digital marketing trends, key vendors and measurement tools.  Strong influencing and communication skills married with a keen analytical approach capable of working thru highly complex business challenges.  Proven collaborator and champion for change.  High level of learning agility and pragmatic decision-making with less than perfect information in a fast-paced environment.  High degree of personal integrity and willingness to do whatever is required in service to the broader team and company goals.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree, 3-5 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Restaurant, retail or hospitality industry experience preferred. Must have experience in Marketing, Marketing Management, and Marketing leadership with subject matter expertise in Digital. International experience a plus.
